We physicians excel at preaching health and fitness, but suck at teaching. We are also bad at motivating fitness and probably even worse at exemplifying. Sometime in 2025 I finally decided that enough was enough and it was time to permanently supercharge my declining energy and increasing waistline of the 40s. My white coat did a great job hiding my belly at work while jackets hid it socially. But the progressive mental, physical and even cognitive fatigue of passive aging was becoming a burden spilling into all aspects of life. It began to affect my mood and confidence. I started to feel like an charlatan advising my patients something that I was failing to do myself.
So, after multiple failed New Years fitness resolutions that launched well but inevitably crashed, I decided it was time to create a better fitness plan – an everlasting one – with a plan so easy that I could follow even on unmotivated days.
Thus began a pursuit of efficient fitness, a strategy for maximizing gains with minimal efforts, to create easy healthy habits without a need for heroic motivation! I did not want fitness to become my entire personality, I rather wanted to make it automatic and integrated with regular life.
So one day I put on my thinking cap and using more than 2 decades of medical experience and readings on health & longevity, I scribbled my first set of 10 health rules on the back of an envelope to start my permanent fitness and longvity journey. Over time these simple rules became habits. After seeing amazing benefits accumulate with minimal efforts, these habits became a lifestyle.
We are wired for Efficiency
Humans gravitate toward efficiency – doing more with less. We always have. It gives us an evolutionary advantage, helps us conserve more.
Thus our world has naturally become incredibly efficient. Take communication for example: Letters became Emails, Emails became Texts, Texts became “LOL”. Videos became Shorts, Thoughts became Tweets, Humor & Philosophy became Memes….and now entire conversations can happen via emojis! 😉😎😁🙌
So why does Fitness feel stuck in another Era ?
Why does the messaging around getting healthier still seem to require waking up at 5 AM, spending hours in the gym, following complicated diets, tracking every calorie, buying expensive supplements, and somehow finding motivation every single day?
Most of us wait for motivation to strike – Maybe it’s New Year’s Day, maybe it’s a friend’s transformation, maybe it’s a frightening doctor’s visit or a health scare.
Suddenly we’re inspired. We promise ourselves that this time will be different. We go all in with five workouts a week, a strict diet, no cheat meals, maximum effort.
And for a while, it works…Until life happens.
Work gets busy. The kids need attention.Travel disrupts the routine.
Energy drops.Motivation fades.The workouts stop.The diet slips.
And before long, we’re right back where we started—except now carrying an extra burden of guilt and frustration.
I’ve seen this cycle countless times – in myself, my friends and my patients. For many people, fitness has become an all-or-nothing game.
The problem isn’t that people don’t care about their health, it’s that most fitness advice asks people to become someone else totally – Someone with more time, more motivation, more discipline and more energy.
But what if fitness didn’t have to feel that hard?
What if getting healthier felt as natural as brushing your teeth?
What if the secret wasn’t doing more—but doing less, consistently?
That’s why I created Just10Daily.
Not as another fitness program. Not as another challenge. Not as another transformation plan. But as a ‘easy and lazy’ lifestyle change designed for real people – People with responsibilities, families, stress, jobs, busy calendars or those with an imperfect motivation.
The philosophy is simple:
Small healthy actions performed daily are more powerful than heroic efforts performed occasionally.
Ten minutes of movement.
A short walk.
A few bodyweight exercises.
A healthier food choice.
A slightly longer fasting window.
A better night’s sleep.
A simple evidence-based supplement.
None of these things seem life-changing on their own.
But combined, day after day, they create something remarkable.
Momentum –> Energy –> Strength –> Health –> Longevity
The goal is not perfection. The goal is direction. The goal is get you started. The goal is to create a collection of evidence-based micro-habits that quietly work in the background of your life, steering you toward a fitter body, a sharper mind, and a healthier future and easy longevity that does not feel like hard work.
Because while healthy aging does require some effort, if staying healthy consumes all your time and energy, it defeats the purpose.
Fitness should give you energy—not take it away.
It should support your life—not become your life.
That’s the mission of Just10Daily – To make fitness feel Easier, Simpler, Sustainable and more Human.
To prove that you don’t need extraordinary motivation to build an extraordinary level of health.
You just need rules of 10 today and then again tomorrow…
Small habits. Daily wins. Lifelong health.
Welcome to Just10Daily.
